Acupressure
Acupressure is a gentle, pain-free variant of traditional acupuncture, which was accepted by the western culture, because it is used as a treatment method without harmful side effects. Among others it is ideal for (self-) treatment and for the treatment of children and can be easily connected to all other alternative therapies.
The acupressure points are not pierced, but massaged. They are situated on the meridians which run in perfect order via the human body similar to electrical lines. Inside these meridians flows the vital energy, which is called in China the “Qi”. The meridians act on the internal organs, the nervous system and the psyche.
There are 365 acupressure points, which are distributed to 12 meridians and are communicating with each other by these energy sources. A brilliant pre-scientific correspondence system that makes holistic treatment tangible and real. “Acupressure – Wellbeing on Demand” is considered a classic of acupressure and thus as an important reference book.
Unfortunately it is not available in english language yet. I am working on it.
